Title: A Promised Land

Thoughts: More than anything, this book gave me hope. Hope that the thing that attracted me to politics—the ability to create policies that create a better, more just future—still exists. The last four years have made me question more than once if believing that was naive. Obama’s book made me believe, just for a minute, that it isn’t. Yes, the book is long-winded, but I enjoy listening to his voice and hearing his stories—especially those from the campaign and the earliest days of the presidency.
